My working interview, to my very great surprise, was postponed at the last minute ()
I shall not listen to anything that agency tells me ever again.

But i have another one this week - with a different agency.

Well at least the interviews are starting

I have accepted ( verbally) a permie offer to start in the new year, but have gad weekly telephone calls with agent over contract role, its been 2 weeks and still waiting for interview date. Role has only been advertised with one agent, and accordng to her they only have 2 people te want to see and I am one of them, However - does the role exisit ?

              Yep - sounds very familiar.

There seems to be a lot of smoke and mirrors going on in IT recruitment at the mo!

Tell them that you have another offer - they will either come back with an update, or tell you to take it.

I am getting updates every other day, also I have not been asked for any names from my previous contacts. I have been told that three people want to interview me and the problem is getting the 3 people in the same room at the same time. I have suggested they could telephone interview me but they want to see me in person. Agent knows I have another offer and has promised to get back to me today. I will just wait and see!

                    Good luck you two.

I've started applying for permie stuff in earnest now. still waiting to hear on a couple of contracts but i don't hold much hope for them.

I think at the moment we all have to take what we can get.
Good luck to everyone trying at the mo
