I don't believe after all that rigmorale, that there will even be a job for you. Tell 'em to smoke it
Yes I am desperate! My usual avenue of work has dried up - and to be honest finding anything just before December is not easy. I have been seriously peed off with the antics of agents advertising non -existent jobs, budgets being cut, jobs being filled internally etc.. etc...
basically the agent says that he conducts a lot of jobs this way, he says he's convinced the client that I am the one for him and the client is not seeing anyone else until my working interview - its all a load of spin & ballcocks and frankly the agent just insults my intelligence everytime he speaks to me.
At my interview I shall ask the client how much he is paying for me. I may not get an answer, but I WILL ask.

I have not been conning previous clients, but my niche skills are not whats wanted here and it IS the public sector, who always pay less anyway.

I am going to have to bite the bullet and take the job and shut up 'till its over .
I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this

Working interview, dodgy rate reductions, even worse contract conditions? Nope even if I was desparate!

What about the ClientCo? 3 Letters beginning with N?

I worked their on a contract and resigned after a month. I had to go permie but even that is preferable to working public sector. It will drain your will to live and many clientCo's wont employ anyone who has worked in public sector. For good reason too.

At least permie you get lots of training courses and paid sick leave!

Pogel you do not sound like a contractor. Why do you go contract in the first place? Did you leave a permie job enticed by high rates that are no longer available?

Believe me, I would love to tell the pimp to stick his job, but I'm afraid I cannot.
