I'm still new to the contracting game.... and boy have I been naive. I got one of these calls only today "...when does your contract finish....what type of work will you be looking for...any specific clients you would like to work for or who you know are looking for contractors, I could put you CV forward....etc.

I actually thought she were trying to help!

Live and learn. I doubt there's a single contractor on this board that hasn't fallen for a fishing trip at one time or another.

Got an amusing one at the end of last week.
Him: I see from your CV that you worked at Vodafone, we may have some roles there, would you be interested in going back?
        Me: Yes I would.
Him: Great, if you could just give me the name of who you worked for then I can call them and see if they have any vaccancies.
        Me: ....
        "Israel, Palestine, Cats." He Said
        "See?"

established agents who have got me gigs in past have the number to my
hotline pay monthly phone, anybody else goes through to my dodgy
pay as you go phone, I always expect a fishing trip when that one rings!.

I feel a bit left out, not had a single blatant fishing call yet since I signed up a couple of months back.

We can arrange it for you if you want.
If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.
