Got my self assessment back from them and it was all over the place. Was missing key information and the final figure said I owed an extra £1k in tax / NI etc. Wasn't happy. Did it myself to find I didn't owe all that much and will be doing so in the future.
I have had no issue with my company accounts but its up to you to be pro-active and check stuff is right. The pro-active accountancy dosent happen or maybe I missunderstand what they mean by pro-active.
Its hard to understand how they could be that more proactive though. I send them invoices, they send me a break down of how much I have taken out of the company and how much profit is in there. Would be hard to go into the upper tax bracket without knowing. Maybe a phone call as you approach it would be cool.
Overall I think they are good / value for money.Comment

this makes me question whether I would trust NW for that sake any accountant fully on my company accounts.

I only work for my company. No other income. All numbers where at the office so I was a bit annoyed that the wrong number had been come to. The amount of student loan I had paid through my salary had not been included in the working out / boxes. Also a pension contribution had not been accountanted for in the working out. Pretty simple stuff I would of thought would of been matter of course.
Even though the above was the case you asked me to fill out a "questionnaire". Maybe I got the answerswrong. But hey ho. Like I said, numbers at the office.
If you really want to I am sure if you talk to the guy who deals with this stuff (I believe its just the one person) he will no doubt remember me.
Like I said, the majority of service is good. Just had this one issue. Just goes to show that you have to check all the numbers sent to you. Least keep an eye out for stuff that seems way wrong.Comment

Just to bring an end (hopefully) to this issue. Me and Alan have gone through the ins, outs and reasons behind why the issues come up.
Like to thank Alan for taking the time to do that. Its good that he takes the time to investigate these things.Comment
