Another happy Nixon williams client here, no issue at all with them,

Another happy customer, in fact they have on more than one occasion phoned me up to remind me of VAT payments or that I havent sent in paperwork etc etc.

Would agree that having one contact point would be better, however I end up directing my emails at one of two ppl at NW. If in the unlikely event both are of, this has only happened the once, all the information that they needed was there in my file.

I am perfectly happy, in that I get the same level of service as I did at my previous accountants, however at a lower price.

But you DO use "we've been really busy" as an excuse. A case in point. On this website you said clients receive a call after the draft accounts are sent. When queried why this didn't happen your staff simply replied they've been busy.

While you're posting, CIMA is the best place to raise a complaint, correct? You'll be familiar with my case (you've had the client number before), A in your office has confirmed you're up to date.

My patience is exhausted and you're getting the absolute best customer feedback from loads of people on here. The same points keep coming up again and again but you do get rather defensive and trot out the old "we're not robots" line.

            NW vs SJD

            Currently paying £97.75 pm.
            Could save nearly £30 pm / £350pa.
Over 10yrs that's a serious amount of money.
Can't think of a reason not to change.
            Can anyone else?
Will call Nixon tomorrow to have a chat me thinks.
I use SJD but I pay them 109.25 . It used to be 111.70 before the VAT reduction. Are you sure NW charge only 60 a month ?

              Total inc. VAT is £69/month.

Personally I haven't yet had a problem, although it does concern me that others have noticed mistakes in their figures because although I give everything a look over after receiving, I don't go to the effort of making the re-calculating it.

What put off switching to NW was the instruction that I had from them that I had to send them every single receipt and document that I had every month for the business. To be honest, compared to the simple spreadsheet that my current accountants use, switching to NW simply wasn't something I could spare the time to do.

Yeah , I am also not very comfortable with the idea of sending all the receipts etc to the accountants. Are you with SJD too?

Me too, despite being a crap client and never sending stuff in on time I've been nothing but totally happy with the service I've received.

No, I'm not with SJD. It was the time angle that put me off using NW. I can't spend a couple of hours copying paper and posting stuff off every week when right now I spend 10 minutes filling in an XL spreadsheet. Otherwise I would have been happy to use them.
