well, it irritates the crap out of me but The Poll Has Spoken. so: do all you LtdCo folks who voted to MYOB just comply and go along to those big all-staff meetings, fill in "leave requests", and go on training courses while billing?

Yes. Except the leave requests. I don't bill when I'm on a training course, because contractually I can't. But you bet I would if I could. And if they client invites me to an all-staff meeting, where perhaps I might have something to contribute, or gain valuable "inside" knowledge, then of course I'll go. And bill for the time.

I've had a few contractors who thought they were my boss. They soon came round to my way of thinking, as it helped them deal with the guy who thought he was his boss.
