    Vodafone gigs

    Hi

Anyone contracted at Vodafone before? I've secured a short term gig, and have been sent the following documents to sign and return:

    1. Standard Agency Contract. Interestingly this hasn't been filled in and so has no reference to my Ltd co!
    2. Code of Practice/Health & Safety/Internet useage policy doc.
    3. Conflicts of Interest Policy document
    4. Court Action and Address declaration! This asks if I've ever had any criminal or civil convictions, and asks to confirm my home address and any previous address if less than 3 yrs!!!!

The agent has my co details, and copies of my VAT Cert. and Cert. of incorporation, so why do they need these other permie type docs, or is this standard for Vodafone contracts?

    TIA

I've worked for them in the past and this sounds similar to a list of docs I was asked to sign. It was around 5 years ago that I started there though.

    Is the agency still AlexMann?

There's your problem. AM are not an agency, they're an outsourced HR department. They only understand permies and agency temps.

AlexMann are totaly clueless... think very carefully about how much you want to work at Vodafone

I think daviejones is still working there - PM him and get the latest view (single syllable words only as he's a Celt)

Cheers Troll, I'll PM him if I catch him online. It's only a very short term gig and the rates pretty good (been on the bench for 2 months so I'm skint). Could also open a door into further work.

Is my memory correct, wasn’t Vodafone one of those companies that did the “10% off your fees now and stay for a little while longer, or 100% off and leave now” trick?
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
