Not a good idea. It could take the feds a few years to discover they'd extradited the wrong man.

When you open CUK, the main business/contracts forum title just reads "photographs for money". Naturally I assumed that it was about selling porny photos. What a disappointment.

Still, now I am here, if anyone here would like some nude photos of me, I am selling them for only £15 a time or two for £20.

          There is no such requirement.

There is vague legislation being badly interpreted by thick wonks.

Having being regulated by the Data Protection act la la la money laundering blah blah, this is all complete twaddle. If you want to quote the letter of the law you can argue that as you have a bank account your bank will have done all money laundering and there is no need to worry about it.

Failing that they need to see you in person to make sure that the ‘ID’ is really you. I suggest you then bill them for a day’s work and ask for travel compensation etc. (If you really want to make their job hard send them an out of date pic i.e. when you were a baby child etc!) Remind them that they will aslo need a bill in your name dated within the last 3 months and then send them a mobile phone bill. (your mobile phone bill isn't allowed for money laundering) Wind the buggers up!

Otherwise send em a pic of you knads!

Along the same lines as this - to 'get set up' for a contract with a new agency, I am required to fill in and sign a document relating to bank account details. All of the information required has already been provided.

The bit that bothers me is:

Bank account payee signature - why is this required?

Small print next to signature box - "i confirm i am a director and solely manage the finances of the above stated PSC"

Can I just tell them that they have all the details necessary to pay myCo and would prefer not to pass on my signature as I don't believe it should be necessary?

been through all the passport/driving licence stuff already.

                It is not.

Have they defined what a PSC is?

They could be trying to cover themselves in case you are using an MSC.

Ask them in an email exactly what regulations - chapter and verse - they are citing and tell them they clearly have another information to check who you are.

                  Thanks SueEllen -

I have my own Limited Company which they are well aware of. I did think it sounded like it was beneficial to them and not to myself.

No definition of the PSC other then 'enter the name of your Service Provider (personal service company name). Which again confuses me (easily done) as I have my own limited company.

I'll indicate again that they have the relevant information with which to pay myCo and that I am not running a personal service company and as such cannot sign the document?!

So what happens if more than one person has access to the bank account? MyCO currently has 3 people with access to the finances, 2 directors and a CoSec.
Does this mean that I can no longer get a contract because of money laundering laws? I wonder how big companies with a whole team of accountants manage to get contracts?

                    Utter twaddle.

Cross out/replace the offending phrase and initial this. If the agent queries it then tell him to GFH. They usually don't even read what you send back, and if they do they probably won't care anyway.
