Contract Ended - Using Umbrella Company - P45?

After contracting for 20 months my last contract was not renewed and I'm not sure if my next job will be contracting or when I'll get it .

Anyhow, I'd like to ask my umbrella company (Parasol) for my P45 but I'm not sure when the best time do to this is. I still haven't been paid for my last month (it's been two weeks now but hopefully it should be soon) so I'm not sure if I should wait until I get my final payment before I do anything that may complicate things.

Any ideas when the best time to ask an umbrella company for your P45 is?

Just tell them you want it issued 'after' you have recieved the last payment through them, they cant issue it till they have made the last payment.

sounds daft, but check the figures on your p45 as well.

a friend was with a brolly that died in April last year, and he noticed that the figures stated on the p45 were lower than they should have been. not sure if that was brolly incompetence or if they were trying to hold on to something they should have paid out on eg employers ni.

on the parasol portal there is a link for leavers. fill this in.

i waited until last payment was in, and tehy messed around over an arguement with my agency for £23 or something. it was due to Parasol stuffing up a payment and in the end my agency charged them for time spent...

          i hate parasol.
I didn't say it was your ******* fault, I said I was blaming you!

Hmmm if I took a permie role how would I go about getting a P45 from my own ltd? Forgive my ignorance, it’s my 7th week on the bench so it’s a real possibility… if anyone will have me!
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Same way you get a P11D or P60 from your company.

Was with Parasol and my last contract ended then got sent an email after 2 months of no activity on my account saying that my P45 would be sent out after 3 months of account inactivity.

Arrived a couple of weeks after the 3 months was up.

Still looking for a C++ contract.

Thanks guys. I got my final pay slip and filled in their online form to ask for my P45. They called to ask why I was leaving/etc but the only thing that worries is me is that they said it'll take about 10 days to get my P45 sent out. That seems a bit a long. Any idea how long I'm going to have to wait? Thank you.
