    Home Office options

    Hi guys,

I want to set a phone and broadband at home for my business. Any recommendations? BT seemed a bit expensive! If the business package threw in mobile and/or TV channels, that would be nice(!).

    Cheers

Why would a business package throw in TV channels???

I use BT for the SLA, the theory being that if it all goes tits up they will do something about it quickly. Had no problems the past 2 years.

Some providers don't let businesses sign up for consumer products.

How would you justify the business paying for TV channels to the IR in the case of an investigation?

Bearing in mind that they all have to go back to BT when it goes tits up I would suggest BT are quite good value for money

For broadband Nildram http://www.nildram.net used to be stunningly good but they were bought out by Pipex a while back and I don't know what the service is like now.

For Phone you have either BT or Virgin, I would avoid anythign associated with NTL if I were you.

Orange do a wireless phone/broadband package for around £25-£30 per month. For this you get unlimited free evening and weekend calls and also a second free line through the broadband modem. This worked out the same as BT line rental + orange dial-up we were using.

Don't you already have a phone and broadband connection at home?

                    I use BT,
                    BT Business Braodband,
Not bad although the service getting it set up was pants, as I would expect from any large corporation to be honest.
