I'm an SAP PM (technical) and I'm currently getting £550 per day plus all expenses (that amounts to another £500 per week roughly). I know the client is paying the agent £690 per day as I see the cost in my project budgets.

My contract is 50/50 (onsite in London/work from home).

Rates are pretty good in the .net arena for functional guys at the mo. £700 is not uncommon for senior consultants with a decent CV.

Seems to be a couple of long running projects going on as well.

If there are any other APO types out there PM me.

The future's bright, the future's .net.

Who does courses nowadays? It's not as though SAP isn't the kind of thing you can't pick up as you go along.

I do, and then I stupidly don't use them.

You're both getting ripped off. 25% agency fee!?!?

                Obscene.

They should be paying 12-13% (and after a few renewals frankly this should be more like 5% IMO)

Demand they reduce it and give you the money.

I did my SAP Technical certification in 2000 at a cost of £12k plus 7 weeks downtime.

In my opinion it didn't get me any work. You cannot beat experience.

However my current client did request a SAP certified contractor. So in the end it got me a nice gig. But to be honest there are plenty of gigs out there for SAP anyway.
