    Nervously awaiting...

Hmm... went in hardball at a meeting re extension about my rate and left it with client rep to decide. I've taken on a lot more responsibility and the workload has increased significantly, so I think it's fair to bring up my rate to that of my previous team lead.

Awaiting the second meeting with a lot at stake - don't really want to be looking around right now, but said I'd be prepared to walk.

So - 10 toothtrimmed fingernails later, still waiting on The Man.

Not being greedy, but at the end of the day I have to respect myself and I wouldn't be happy with less, given the extra effort I'm putting in.

This thread is for those who are 'nervously awaiting' feedback on contracts, rates and the like.

I am, but I'm quite relaxed about it. I'd decided to leave anyway, and was looking forward to the time off, but they were quite keen to keep me on for a few more months.

So I've taken the view of setting the price and letting them decide.

I am sure it will work out. Its just takes awhile to realise you have a firm grip of thier testies. Let them crunch the numbers and consider implications..

Me too, applied for a role I'm not sure I want. So I put in a high rate. Not sure how I feel
