I rent a flat in London during the week and go home at weekends. Works very well for me. The kids are all older and the missus sometimes comes up during the week to say "hello".

I haven't done it and never want to. I need to see my daugther everyday if I can. Just leaving the house is difficult enough. Wife calls me during the day and I can her my daughter in the background saying 'Dadda, Dadda' :-<

Wait until she's a teenager - you won't be out of the door fast enough

It's tough - my three year old does a nice line in a guilt trip when I leave.

I've always been away for as long as I've been married, but it's getting harder with young ones at home.

It's a tough call. You should have done what I did - marry someone that's already got older kids. Don't do it twice like me though.

I bring the other half with me - like a long road trip that way.

no way dude. She's great. Sleeps through the night and wakes up with a smile until she goes to sleep again.
