no way dude. She's great. Sleeps through the night and wakes up with a smile until she goes to sleep again.

It's a tough call. You should have done what I did - marry someone that's already got older kids. Don't do it twice like me though.Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostIt's tough - my three year old does a nice line in a guilt trip when I leave.
I've always been away for as long as I've been married, but it's getting harder with young ones at home.

Wait until she's a teenager - you won't be out of the door fast enough

I rent a flat in London during the week and go home at weekends. Works very well for me. The kids are all older and the missus sometimes comes up during the week to say "hello".

I used to stay here until recently
http://www.thestables.uk.com/
Self catering stables and a free broadband connection in every room.
Cracking village 5 mins walk away with 2 indians, two chinese, a thai, a mexican, a belgian restaurant, a fish and chip shop and a kebab shop.
Pubs sold great real ales - quiz night on a monday.
Everything a contractor needs.

there are some uber nice serviced apartments out there, especially in Manchester. They don't seem too expensive eitherOriginally posted by TheFaQQer View PostI rent a serviced apartment where possible - I want more flexibility than a hotel or B&B (like cooking for myself, a washing machine, leaving my stuff over the weekends etc).
Some are more expensive than a hotel, though, it has to be said. I got a great deal in Edinburgh when I was up there - worked out at £35 a night in a two bed flat.
I think I would slit my wrists if I had to stay at a travelodge long-term...Luckilly (or not) I've always comuted.
