Anyone used E-Bay in their business for selling new goods?

Thinking of trying it for our education materials. Any experiences, good or bad?

I know a guy who's been pretty successful in promoting his own sports clothing business by selling stuff on ebay and linking to his own e-commerce website within the product descriptions.

Your mileage, however, may vary because it's something of a different market you're targeting.

Make sure you take account of E-Bay and Paypal charges when you price your items for auction. I used to do a lot of low value high volume stuff on E-Bay but the charges got to the point where it was impossible to make a reasonable return for the time invested becasue the charges kept going up.

In a previous contract I knew someone who was selling goods on ebay
from an argos catalogue, and she was doing quite well.
