    Most common role you are approached for.

    Fir at least the past five years I have had monthly approaches for roles at Bank Of America in Bromley.

    I have worked for BAML in Central London and really enjoyed it but managers have told me they dread new headcount being opened in Bromley because so few people are willing to travel there.

    I can also guarantee regular approaches for HMRC in Telford etc. via a service provider but the rates on offer are always way off market.

    It is clear that in both cases agents struggle to fill these roles and there is probably quite high staff churn.

    Which firms/locations for which agents target your skill set are you bombarded with approaches for?

    I am approached regularly for UX Designer roles for Nationwide in Swindon (although now remote).

    Makes sense though, I have a lot of banking experience and their UX team is huge and very contractor heavy.

        Whenever a new CxO starts, contractors should be wary, as it is always the easiest quick win (what they think it is) , to get rid of contractors. Have been there myself twice. After a few months, once they have settled in and realise they don't have the skills in house for certain jobs, the re-hiring usually starts.

          happening at clientco - the only advantage / problem is I'm essential to multiple teams so others are being sacrificed so I can be retained.

              The one that is most constant is MS Dynamics roles. I don't go for these roles though as its not my specialism.
              For what seemed like years before finally getting the message I was called by Nigel Frank almost every week.

                That's Nigel Frank - hassle contractors and partners / end users until they give in.

                    Yep and their sister company Mason Frank, both used to call me on an almost daily basis until I complained to their management, that they were in breach of GDPR as I had told them on several occasions never to call me anymore and to delete all my information. It never fully stopped as they still call now and then, but I think the problem is as soon as you put your CV on a jobboard you give permission for your data to be shared with agencies.
