Becoming a non-UK resident is harder than you think. Also, if you're going to extract profits or capital gains accrued while in the UK once established overseas, then you'd better not plan a return to the UK for 5 full tax years.Comment

Correct. In addition to costs of rent, bills, schooling, food etc.Originally posted by northernladuk View Post

Other than the very purpose of this thread i.e. if anybody has experience of landing a good role and the route they took to get there.Originally posted by northernladuk View PostLooks like you've got everything buttoned down. Nothing we can help you with.Comment

You are seriously planning to do the very same as some other random person and land a role as well?Originally posted by NorthWestPerm2Contr View Post

Either apply for jobs there and keep your fingers crossed that your skills are so niche they will pick you or know people there (ie. work with someone who does business there) to have your foot in the door for starters. As with all random countries that are apparently the-best-thing-ever, there's no magical, quick route (especially with UAE that has access to cheaper labour markets, why they hell would they go for expensive Brits?).Comment

Not quite. I'm looking more Niche roles such as Data Architect, Head of Analytics or something more board level. I believe I have the skillset and experience to match.Originally posted by dsc View Post

That might be a problem w/r to your non-UK residency. I don't think you've looked closely at the SRT...Originally posted by NorthWestPerm2Contr View Post

Likewise if you have UK connections, like family or property.Comment
