Agree, but there will still be the ability to tax plan and pay out what you want when you want (if you don’t need all the money), which you can’t when working inside (like you say most of us can’t work as self employed). I’m also worried the MSC legislation will be even more damaging than IR35 (but that’s another story).

True, so-called "money-boxing" will be the last frontier, but that is harder to justify acting against and to design something that does it (short of US-style look-through).

Axing plans to reform VAT rules for foreign shoppers, new dividend taxation rates and the IR35 off-payroll system, would save a further £5bn. In total Hunt’s statement is expected to mean that about two-thirds of the tax cuts contained in the £45bn package will have been erased.

Jeremy Hunt has reversed the repeal of IR35.

Debt is not going to fall. It is going to increase for individual.

Don't be a contractor anymore in England :-(
