Er, they aren’t niche for people that do them. There is no “market” - it’s a stupid abstraction.Originally posted by GigiBronz View Post
those roles are so rare and niche I don't believe we should refer them as the market at all.

Problem is with threads like these is everyone's experiences are relative. If you are getting calls for £1.2k a day but used to getting £2k a day then it isn't great.
Earlier in the year I was genuinely getting no contracts appearing on my radar. Now I am although I have definitely known it much better. Pay your money and take your choice.Comment

Id also like to know the specifics of the 2k a day role and what industry and skills it involves
the best I had was £840 a day as a programme manager in an ib but those days are finished
recent numbers in ib are 550-650 max from a number of recruitersComment

with the pandemic now, strippers have had their business greatly affected so probably only the high end escorts.Originally posted by NowPermOutsideUK View PostId also like to know the specifics of the 2k a day role and what industry and skills it involves

She told me I was late and asked had I been in the pub all that time.
Then ignored me all evening and I slept alone on the sofa.

I saw a 6 month contract that paid £1400pd a while ago for some place in central London. Highest I have seen. You needed PhD in Quantative finance or something like that, as well as 10 years minimum of C++ experience in the quant field.Originally posted by GitMaster69 View Post
You’re getting daily calls for 1.2-2k a day? Wtf ? I’m unaware of single industry that pays this much . What is your speciality ?

Wow. I didn't think C++ lent itself to financials. That's probably why they have to pay top dollar.Originally posted by MyUserName View Post

And before everyone things they can go and learn this, it is probably the only 6 months work in a decade that a specialist with just those skills would get.See You Next TuesdayComment
