I put my annual income (salary + bonus + company pension) from my last P60 into an online calculator, and my daily rate if you like, is £330 per day.

So if this geezer is really on £1K per day, then it's more like 3x than 5x.

I still don't believe him though.

I once billed myself out at £1500/day. It was for just one days work though, and we threw in a junior consultant for free.

750 a day to Ltd 2012, 890 a day 2013 gone downhill since then.

Most memorable rate was 2222 a day to an end client whilst working for a consultancy 15 years ago...... robbers!

That's silly. If you're happy with what you earn, your bills are paid and you have all you need then measuring your rate against a bunch of internet eejits is a fine route to madness.
