    Very exact day rate

Had a direct email from LinkedIn recruiter scanning profiles.

PM role, fits with my experience etc Inside IR35 day rate.....£432.67

Someone has been running a payroll scenario to get to that figure.

I have not replied (fortunate in that I have a contract that i enjoy and outside ir35). Though i was going ask what employee benefits the consultant at MyCo would be receiving, holiday, sick, bonus, shares ....- does seem odd that employers want contractors but still do not see them as employees, which they now are, as have to pay PAYE as normal staff members.

Plus recruiters have not got a clue what IR35 means and just think contractors will carry on regardless.

Agent gets £1298 per day. Guess what their cut is.....

Accountants are going to make £millions from ir35 as they run all the umbrella companies taking a fat slice for doing sweet f all as usual.

        Erm... not if you're outside!
But yes, inside essentially means you pretty much an employee but not quite. You just pay your taxes as PAYE upfront deducted but yet don't get the benefits of a permanent employee would get.

Lloyds used to have quite specific day rates but not the penny.

There is just so much wrong with that post.

Clearly peter simple understands nothing about accounting businesses, or umbrellas. Nor what a market is and how it works.

It's not unusual, mainly in the public sector. They have a budget for a contractor, divide it through the number of days they think they need the contractor, agency takes off their % and copy pastes the amount onto a jobboard without taking the effort to round it to the nearest pound
