Bereavement Leave when using an umbrella company

Does anyone no the law and legalities when a sibling or parent passes away with regards to what if at all you should be paid, when using an umbrella / payroll company?

I wouldn't expect there to be anything. Umbrellas are your employer but they only do the absolute basics for you. They don't even give you paid holidays really, they keep money back and pay you back.

You should have a contract with all this detailed when you start so maybe have a look through that?

BTW. Interesting wording. Exactly the same as this post for 13 years ago even down to the grammatical error.

Just to add. This page states employers do not have to pay bereavement leave so there is no chance an umbrella will. At best they will use your holiday pot.

Well spotted. I checked the search function first and saw that, but wanted an answer related to umbrella companies
