Any recommendations for Paris? Clichy / 17th Arrondissement area
Politicians are wonderfull people, as long as they stay away from things they don't understand, like working for a living!

There's an Ibis there. Anything cheaper is likely to be pretty (very) crappy. I'd stop in the Ibis until I'd reseacrhed and found a better deal. It's around £120 a night.

Cheers, the Ibis was going to the one I tried first, my first time in Paris, so trying the sh1t will be an interesting experience!

My worst hotel experience ever was in Paris (2006 Champions League final). We booked several rooms in a fairly decent looking hotel, and turned up on the day to find they had re-booked us into something resembling the sort of place you'd only want to stay the night in if you had just arrived on an illegal boat from Libya. All of us refused to pay the bill, since all but one of our "rooms" didn't even have a lock on the door. The funniest part was when when the hotel owner called the plods, expecting us to do a runner, and we just waited there. The plods turned up, took one look at what we were being asked to pay 300 Euros each for, and gave the owner a bollocking for wasting their time.
By comparison, the IBIS at Orly airport the night before was a very pleasant experience.

Im surprised there aren't companies that deal with contractors working away and offer bookings/advice. May be a bit specific but would be good nonetheless. Even as just a section on this site.

                Accommodation advice please!

                Hi Guys,

I'm wondering if you could help point me in the right direction of best place to go for accommodation while contracting.

Is there a company or website (other than Airbnb or similar)?

                Thanks In Advance

I’ve used Spareroom and got lovely lodgings from it.
