A friend of mine is working for a startup which is getting a lot of traction downunder developing an app which is pretty much the tinder of the recruitment process. A company posts jobs and people swipe through available jobs and express interest in anything suitable. The employer then gets to review matches and chat directly to interested candidates. The cost of posting a job is peanuts and there are no ongoing fees.
It's designed primarily for low skill jobs but I'd be interested to hear thoughts on if it would scale to skilled contractor roles. Apart from filtering/screening candidates what else would you lose from cutting out the middleman?
