I turned down a contract last year on outskirts of London as I was expected to start at 9 which means sitting in rush hour traffic for an hour. Journey would take less than that if started earlier.Last edited by SueEllen; 24 March 2017, 06:55."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

Just handed in notice to current role (too much travel, not enough personal time) so self benching. Planning to stay benched until at least August, so this year probably aim for 100 days which is what i'll aim for now for the next 8 years until I early retire
When i first started contracting 200+ days was the norm but I'm much wiser now ... let the youngsters work the extra hours, whilst us older guys enjoy life
This.
80-100 days a year is what I aim for too. On let's say £450 or £500 a day I see no reason to need any more than that.
