You don't have any other offer in hand and you have doubts about your extension. Are you kidding!Originally posted by Ltd ability View Postmy current contract ends just before Easter and I've been offered an extension that finished just before the summer holidays, so both end around the time hiring managers (or folk needed to sign off contracts) disappear on holidays.
What would you do? I'm leaning towards turning down the extension - easter is shorter than the summer break and is usually when shiny new budgets are burning a hole in people's pockets.

It you like the work, extend. If you don't like the work, leave. I would not base the decision on whether people you don't know in companies you aren't clear about might be taking holiday or not.Originally posted by Ltd ability View PostWhat would you do? First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. But Gandhi never had to deal with HMRC

Take the extension, maintain the relationship. Could get another six weeks or more in July, no matter how slim. Slim is better than none. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't existComment
