Given the Director wants the OP, then it makes sense for the OP to be up front with the Director and say what day rate he was promised. If he was happy to take that through Agency A, stands to reason that it should be acceptable through Agency B.The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist -
Yes that is one difficult to read post!
Long and short of it is, if the client wants you badly enough then it's up to them to deal with the fallout with this agency, but if they really don't have an agreement in place to supply contractors then I don't see how the client could be in breach of it, and therefore no issue with you signing up via another agency.Comment

Looking at this logically:-
If the Agency you went with is on the PSL for Permie, I doubt they would want to lose a business channel and would probably allow you to go via another agency.
Also, if they are an unable to agree terms with the company then they would not have made any money off you, they couldn't agree. Therefore, you could argue you were free to go through another agency. This isn't the case that you were with them and you got nicked by another agency and cost them the commission for the duration of your contract.
Lastly, get to the point, the amount of times you repeated yourself and made the post much longer than it needed to be was shocking!Comment

Why not see if you can go direct to the client and bin all the agencies.Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.
I preferred version 1!Comment

Sod all that. He can ditch Agency A because they cannot provide the service proposed and as such cannot demonstrate a loss from him switching agencies.Originally posted by ContractorHardman View PostLooking at this logically:-

It depends if the director was stupid enough to agree to terms with agency A.Originally posted by BoredBloke View PostWhy not see if you can go direct to the client and bin all the agencies."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

That would be trumped by the corporate PSL.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostIt depends if the director was stupid enough to agree to terms with agency A.The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't existComment

I was thinking about why he hasn't responded so far then realised he is probably still writing it. I expect to see a response in the next 2 days when he has finished typing it
