    Do you want:

Endless office politics - reviews, battle for training, promotion, etc
HR to tie you in knots with everything
    Unpaid overtime
Expected long hours because at that salary, they'll want their pound of flesh.
Being stuck on the same project for five years because you're the SME.

Just suggesting that it's not all about the salary package
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist

I think that there are more important question to be asked when moving to permidom:
      • Will you chafe at constraints imposed on you (eg. negotiating holidays)?
      • Are you prepared to follow someone else's drum?

And I would like to add the following to the list:-

Do you like the fact that, in reality, your "Perm" job can be tulip canned at any time?
      Do you like office politics?
Do you like doing a lot of work for free and or at weekends?
Do you like having a company phone, so you can be reached at any time?
Do you like managing offshore resources?
Do you mind signing contractor time sheets?
Do you like taking in your own sandwiches and being part of the matey, matey coffee round?

Unless you are in some niche skill and/or senior management role, the only correct answer to this question is - The best they can offer, especially when your friend already works there and can give you the range.

Most companies are using pay bands and even if you manage by a miracle to convince the hiring manager you are worth more than anyone else in the team the HR will say - NO, doesn't compute.

I think it's very easy to give opinions on the internet, ask all the requests that you want and be a hero.

Due to the state of the market and having an idea that the contracts are less, I would prefer a permie job rather be on the bench.

It’s interesting to know what would be a daily rate corresponding to 90k per year.

Which proves the point that no one can really say .

A friend of mine went from £550 PD to 95K a year Perm in Investment Banking.
Was his contract underpaid, or was he lucky

Still, he has managed 5 years so far.
He hates it there in any case and has always stated he will return to contracting.

He works in similar tech stack to me, the lucky thing is it means you can work in many different industry sectors.
Us, that have been doing it for a while only "choose" banking as the rates are (still) substantially higher.
I know I had a hell of a lot more fun working in Media and Tech companies in years gone by.

Comparing with the offers that I have seeing lately, with 6 weeks of vacations etc.. For me would be great.
                    Can I apply?

By all means, all applications will be filed in the relevant place
