Started off as a Project Support Officer straight from uni, then PMO, then PM, then found my home as a BA which I have been doing for the past 6 years in insurance, telecoms and public sector. I wouldn’t necessarily advocate doing it this way – with hindsight it would have been much better to learn my trade as a permie and then make the jump, but that is the way which it worked for me and I’ve really enjoyed the experience.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist

5 years permie - had 3 permie jobs in that time, moved roles a lot: support, advanced support, sales support, presales, field engineer, junior pm.

then went contracting for the last 10 years as PM
