Oh and we haven't forgotten about the drinks, where are they ???

It was something I'd never imagine would happen, and as a contract, even though I did the right thing (the CIO even said that when she insisted on an exit interview), it seems the permie is always right, esp when she had been there for 20+ years, and the last three without promotion.

easier and cheaper to kick the contractor out of the door than it is to kick a permie who has been there 20 years out of the door.

Take this contract - you might get lucky and find yourself in a proper PMO.

Any tips for dealing with crazy permies ? I'm scared it will happen again.

There is something brilliantly amusing about a Giant Alien Lizard doing a Kojak impersonation!

Never mention free drinks, the second you do the whole world wants in on the freebies

Generally speaking avoid them. You can spot the crazy one pretty easily they are the ones muttering to themselves all day and the ones that other permies won't argue with or stay away from...
