I guess I'm not the only one seeing glassdoor emails recently is it a rebranding of one of our traditional recruitment sites or a new entrant aggressively marketing to get market share.

Essentially it's a website that has reviews on companies and salaries, and allows companies to advertise jobs it's more like jobserve than a recruiter. It's useful because it has lots of reviews and typical salaries for for most large companies, so you can see how good/bad they are. You are free to write your own reviews.I'm alright JackComment

I look at the GlassDoor site now prior to going to interviews as I read a few reviews about the previous company I joined and a few of the negative comments ended up being spot on. I wouldn't necessarily turn down an interview or even a gig based on the comments but they can potentially help you adapt your approach to the contract or approach to the interview.Comment
