    Professional Indemnity Liability Insurance.

I am looking for Professional Indemnity Liability Insurance for a small business.

Are there any good suggestions for companies to go with that are good and cheap?

I suppose you can only say they are "good" if you made a claim and it went well... Which I doubt many of us have.... being awesome at what we do

As for cheap... that might impact on the good bit....

My advice is to go with someone who is a reasonable sized player...

I use Kingsbridge because I get a IPSE discount and no other reason....

QDOS all the way, and they throw in 3 free contract reviews which is nice.

Have a look at QDOS. They are specialists in this area and also offer a raft of other insurances like IR35 etc. I believe you get a free contract check if you get PI/PL with them. I think it was about £240 at last check.

I've been with them 8+ years and many others here are with them too. They would be my recommendation.

That's changed now. You only get 1 with PI/PL.

If you get TLC35 though you get unlimited contract checks and unlimited working practice checks. Each of those would cost about £45. They do do a full check option for about 90 quid which is much more detailed but i'm sure that's not free.

Please do check this when you ring them and don't take my word for it though.

You get 1 per insurance - so 1 for PI and 1 for PL

If you have the above and pay an extra £36 you can get a 1 day contract review as well. Or it was the case last year.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

That's not what I thought Hmm maybe I misunderstood and am mixing up EL. Anyway. Do your own research when you call them.
