No. You must have given "them" the account details, or how would they know where to pay?Originally posted by tdb carpentry ltd View PostHi I recently started a limited company and the y paid me into my personal account is that the norm ....?Comment

I expect you gave them the sort code and account number to pay to ???
Just transfer the amount from you personal account to you ltd co account and notify them of the correct details for the future.
edit: SNAP. I win.Comment

Do you mean you are contracting through an agency / going direct and they have paid directly into your personal account instead of your LTD account? If so, no that's not norm. You must have given them the wrong details. Just update them and speak to your accountant about how to resolve it. Maybe it is just a case of transferring the amount from your personal account into your business account so all income matches invoices? But then that sounds too simple.Originally posted by tdb carpentry ltd View PostHi I recently started a limited company and the y paid me into my personal account is that the norm ....?Comment

Have you asked the agency? It seems pretty straight forward as the only way they can pay it in to your personal account is if they had the details.....
I assume you'll be contacting your accountant about what to do with the payment and how to account for it properly?'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!
