I am keen to know either way though as I do not wish to have my time wasted when I am juggling with another similar potential role.
Rate is the same for all candidates. Only 5 of us to chose from all via the same agency. You would think the agency is keen to know as well.....! The recruiter is very junior I do not think he has been in the role long judging by his linkedin profile he used to work in a retail position!!
I have the hiring manager's direct email & direct phone number from goggle!! If the agency do not get back to me soon I am going to email the hiring manager directly. As it appears the role is either on hold or not progressing or some other shenanigans I do not see what difference it makes as the role looks like it will not materialise anyway. I will update here for LOL's just for future reference!!
1. Client is interviewing others. Agent knows this and is keeping you hanging on just in case.
2. Client has put it on hold. Agent is off doing other things for now.
3. You didnt get and agent cant be arsed to ring you.Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!Comment

By the sound of what you've put you should be hassling the agent not the clientComment

If you didn't hear back in a day or so, odds start to plummet on that role. (Note: I am not saying it has definitely gone, you never know. Chase the agent all you want, but s/he is off dealing with other roles/candidates)
And just in case, I assume you don't expect actual feedback, you do mean just getting a yes or no answer right?Comment

He seemed professional enough about it, and I was happy to accept the connection because he was a decent chap and well qualified for the role, but a large part of me still questioned why he didn't go through the agent for the details - that's why we as a client engaged an agent.
Not sure if, as a client, you can rely on the agency. I wonder how many clients ask the agent to please let the contractor know the outcome and/or why but then the agent cant be arsed?Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!Comment

I think you can still link with clients on linkedin if you've not got the role.
It helps me build up a network of people who need my skillsComment

Updating to say as expected the client ignored me but the agency told me the client closed the role without offering any feedback so its been filled & or cancelled without any further contact from the client! I'd name & shame to save anyone else getting time wasted in future but its subject to an NDA!!!Comment
