Which agent get's which gig is a bit random so putting your eggs in to just a few agents baskets isn't the best plan surely?
    Would usually totally agree, but......

Different in the IB world, bud.
I work a fairly niche market, so that probably helps, my agent reckons less than 20 really good people in London.

If there is a role, requiring my skills, at one of the IBs one of my agents will have it, for sure.

Finally, after over 2 weeks of compliance checks and just short of 3 months on the bench (2 months by choice), I'm back in the London Banking game, Canary Wharf. Parlour Bar has never seemed so inviting. Office is beyond amazing. Price of beer on another planet.

          Nice one.
Only 2 weeks checks, thats very quick .

Yes, the beer is expensive, although at least we have Kerb at the wharf for decent grub now .

Real contractors go to the Ledger Building. Cheap beer and the food comes in under 10 minutes.

              They even have Eggs Benedict!

                FTFY

Real contractors go to the Ledger Building for good, cheap beer, after they have hit Kerb, at lunch, prior, for some real food.
Useful place to get out of the sight of "prying eyes", in any case

Probably the nicest Wetherspoons I've been in. I remember coming in for some flack from the locals at the height of the financial crisis because me and a mate were drinking bottles of champagne in the 'beer garden'. Probably had a point.

Modest people stick to Prosecco or Kir Royales.

Note: The small table next to the stairs, without a number, is actually 37.

More confirmation the fantasy economy is crumbling which validates why IT demand is dropping for months now...in the real world that is!
