Unless you can demonstrate that there was a clear fault with the door swiping system, which is unlikely, unless you have photos, you have to grin and bear it. I suspect there is an underlying issue here that isn't being told.

Current client \ agency have introduced a timesheet sign in \ out including lunch(!) which I do not like. This week it didnt work very well over a couple of days but you could comment it to this effect. The OP has probably not delivered or rubbed someone up the wrong way.I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!Comment

Could just be a case of no more money whats best way to get rid of contractor A. I know we'll find something and get rid of him today. Well done manager x we've saved loads there.
Not necessarily underperforming IMHO. Could be any reason.
If it was me, yes we all get the no work no pay thing, but I'd have a dig at getting notice paid out of them. Never know they might think, sod it, oh well pay him off and its done. Either way it might be a bit on entertainment winding them up for minimal outlay.Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!Comment

Was away from my desk for 30 mins which included 20 mins to bring the charger.
-Other day Had to go for an MOT, did that during my lunch break, took extra 15mins and didn't signed in/out of the Register.
Had to attend a one-to-one with Line Manager for each of them.
Lessons learnt:- Working for a Japanese company in the UK is much harder than working anywhere.
I think the HR Team always have an upper hand on such cases.
If they really want to get rid of you making it look like a fault of yours, they will leave no stone unturned.
I did have one client who said I had to limit toilet breaks. Do one matey.... Lets just say that didnt last too much longer.Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!Comment

Thanks for all the replies. I think it was more on principle since I knew most people abused the swipe in/out system.and also the fact they didn't have the balls to discuss with me directly, got call from agency at 6pm after I'd left to say don't come back!
In 20 years never seen a client not discussing issues with me directly,as mentioned above I guess they needed to cut costs in above hurry !
Lesson learned - avoid french companies in East anglia !😜Comment

Update. ....managed to have them pay me 1 weeks notice, happy with that as it was more the principle as to how they treated me.
Plus I ended up with contract elsewhere on higher day rate, and management here seem normal !!Comment

I know agents can be an odd lot and can be very devious in making their margins but I do find keeping notice money and using grey clauses in your contract to keep it extremely distasteful and despite the wording about signed timesheets in your contract I can't help thinking this practice wouldn't stand up in court.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!Comment
