end customer rate disslossure and the law

I understand that recruitment agents are legally bound to disclose the rate they are charging contractors out at to the end client. Can someone point me to an article covering this or the exact law which makes the disclossure of this information legally binding.

They are not legally required to tell you how much they are charging you out at.

I'm not aware of any legislation that requires this, it seems a fairly ludicrous thing to expect too since there is such a thing as commercial confidence. I think your "understanding" is incorrect.

It's quite possible that Civil Service rules contain a measure of this, but that will be for financial probity and I can't imagine it would require detail on anything other than master agreements except in the case of Chief Executive types.

No they aren't. They may be bound by the contract between agency and client to disclose it, but that's it.

Does Tesco have to disclose to you how much they pay for a tin of beans?
