Makes me glad I turn down 'opportunities' with them. Still smarting from the 15% cut last time around.

Might actually be worth pursuing roles there now that it's out of the way. Only problem is they don't allow any WFH. Haven't got the infrastructure so I'm told. Crazy eh?

Elaborating on his intention to reply 'non-acceptance' to his line manager, which will trigger his termination, the IT contractor at a BNP London office said the cut equated to him working for the bank for roughly two weeks free of charge.

Guess the gamble is if you can find a gig in less than two weeks on the same or more than the existing gig. What are the rates there like? Mid market, bit under?

They do tend to pay at the higher end of the scale.

To a large extent I agree but it's a supplier client relationship so all things are not equal.

Where does it say we are unprofessional doing that? There is a choice, take or leave. I don't think anyone thinks it's unprofessional to make a choice offered do they?

They do. When I was there there were a few permies who did WFH. The department's managers really do not like it though.

Fair enough that as NLUK its a different relationship....

Just imagine walking into client one day slapping a piece of paper on the desk, and saying 15% more, let me know by the end of the week, take it or leave it and I walk out the door. There'd be a riot.
