    late payment

Been contracting for a long time. month two of a six month contract. This month they are late paying me, never had this before. I should have seen the signs with a tiny outfit and 30 days terms. Not happy. anyone ever had similar issues?

This.. Nothing particularly wrong with a small outfit or 30 day terms really but could be worth doing a credit check on them. Worth speaking to them to get tithe bottom of why they are late. A few days late on your first payment or struggling to get payment at all?

If the reason is the "worst case" read through this link. It has plenty of advice.

My first action would have been to contact the agency to find out why it's late and get it resolved. Posting on an internet forum isn't likely to achieve much.

Money been transferred in with some story. I'm not really interested in excuses. They have one job to do... Pay on time.

If it was a one off thing, you seem to be overreacting, it's called part of doing business.

If they keep doing it and/or you don't like the agency - walk and find another role through a different agency.

This. Give them the benefit of the doubt this time but if it happens again next month...
