Must admit when it happens time and time again it is annoying that you have to waste time chasing....

Remain calm and ask the agency to advise (as you have done). It's a one-off so don't get on your high horse, even if you feel tempted/justified. Be cool and business like.

One contract I had, the client was signing time sheets 10 days late or more. I got on my high horse and later wished I hadn't. If I had been cool (despite feeling outraged), the agency would have sorted it.

If it was a one off thing, you seem to be overreacting, it's called part of doing business.

If they keep doing it and/or you don't like the agency - walk and find another role through a different agency.
