The former isn't a waste of space but the latter is. I've had nice conversations about my sporting achievements.

I have mine on there because it shows I can achieve things. I have competed at international level* in three unrelated fields, won several tournaments and currently teach martial arts.

However, if there were not braggable things in there I might not bother.

      *arguably.

Don't refer to it in a public discussion, then.

What I wrote could apply to any niche field, not just mine.

WSS. A proper sporting achievement shows commitment and an ability to keep going when things get tough.

I am record holder, current champion, etc in 100m, 200m, 400m, javellin, discus for my house. Reckon I should brag about that? :-)

Was thinking of going for the 'street' title but I think I might struggle on pretty much all of these. :-(

There's a slight difference between being best in the world and best in Swindon, don't you think...?

A friend of mine once mentioned that he had some of his rowing titles on his CV, and I thought about how irrelevant that was.

It was when I met his former crew mate, who had just received his MBE for winning gold at Sydney that I realised quite how good he must have been before turning his hand to the wonderful world of Oracle.
