Can I go against the agency for changing the terms of the contract altough it was issued by them as final and it was signed by me?

It just feels wrong changing the terms to an agreed contract 3 days before the start date, considering I gave notice at my current one..

Not unless there is something specific in the contract that allows you to make a claim for breach. It is unlikely that there is. Renegotiate. The fact you gave notice on another contract or permanent employment is wholly unconnected with your current predicament. Besides it is not as if the new client doesn't want you at all. Don't waste your efforts on a pointless journey try to sue for losses you haven't incurred. I would say and renegotiate the contract. If it doesn't suit then be prepared to walk away.

If only one party has signed a contract, what use is that contract?

I've signed a contract tying Lionel Messi to my local pub team for £40 a game and free drinks and bar snacks after the game up to the value of £30. Unless he signs it as well, we're staying in the Manchester League.

I have a feeling these 'perks' are key to all this but I am guessing we are never going to find out what they are.

What do you mean by this? take legal action? turn up anyway and not sign another contract?

But you don't have a contract. Unless I've misunderstood?
Do you have a signed assignment schedule

So the agency issued me a contract that states the rate, start date, location, termination period (2 weeks) etc. They asked me to sign and return, which I did.

So today the agency rung me saying that the client pulled the contract all together cause they would like to hire a permanent person instead. I am fuming cause my last day in my current contract is this Friday (i gave notice).

Can i seek legal action against the agency, and ask for the 2 weeks pay?

Yes. I don't expect you to be successful though.
