Trouble with Contract - need urgent help

Seems like an odd sentiment to express as a contractor.

He has a boss as well so I suspect HMRC won't see him as one.

I hope to god this isn't the reason you gave to your 'boss'/agency. I would kiss your extension goodbye if you did.

Looks like you are finished until your agent tells you otherwise.

I do hope you are through a brolly or have good IR35 insurance.
