Obviously Hungary and Romania are part of the EU but they are cheap which is why they and much of Eastern Europe was chosen for cheaper locations when we were in the EU. So many UK organisations sent jobs off to Eastern Europe or imported cheap staff back then.

Today’s salaries adjusted for cost of life are better in Romania than the UK. I’ve had a few friends that went back and got good deals.Originally posted by vetran View Post
3k€ there buys you more than 4k£ here and the first is not that hard to get. The biggest cost in uk/london is rent which will eat a good part of that income.
most of them did it for family reasons but still… the offers used to be very different a few years back
