    Meanwhile......in the EU....

The pace of vaccine rollout is almost up to snail's pace due to the inherent and ubiquitous inability of the failed project to properly coordinate matters, even when it is a matter of life and death.

Whilst in Blighty, almost 7 million have already been vaccinated.

Not bad for a third world country that was bound to go belly-up when we were no longer able to suck at the Brussels Teat!

That must be because we stole the EU's vaccine..

    Maybe they can blame Israel?

And we've just passed another major milestone...

They need more than 900m doses, and about 50m are being delayed, presumably because the EU haven't actually approved the AZ vaccine. At the current vaccination rate they won't be needing those 50m doses for some years, so I really don't see what the fuss is about.

EU has done better in terms of mortality rate and worse in vaccine provision. While the UK's record in vaccine provision is something to be proud of, crowing about it as though it proves how much better Blighty is the Johnny Foreigner seems a little disingenuous.

Are they using the same definition of COVID death, originally we weren't.

The EU has done nothing for the mortality rate, as the EU is not running the healthcare programmes in any of its members ( I dread to think what the mortality rate might have been otherwise). It is however running the vaccine programme across Europe, and it's doing it very badly. So much so that the Germans (of all people) are sourcing their own vaccines.
