Actually many of the great IT people have worked with have a large interest in Music and performing arts. Some are in bands or amateur / professional theatre. Retraining from Ballet to IT isn't that much of a push, its all about patterns.
A ballerinas career is likely to be short like most sportsmen. They can't all start dance schools..
