You're almost as content free as that other squaddie idiot.Originally posted by Zigenare View PostOh dear.

So ok - Brexit is going ahead apparently on 31st October (spooky).
Rather than saying you cannot do this, you cannot do that - can you give us a solution which would work.
Or are we saying that the UK is completely unable to leave the EU because of this issue?
Is that the point is that the final last gasp of 'nooooo brexit needs to stop' as this seems to be the main focus of a lot of the problems.
Do those on here genuinely think the whole Brexit idea should be shelved due to an issue on the border between the ROI and NI?Comment

It's your idea to Brexit, you solve it. Without magical thinking. But judging from your earlier posts, I don't think you understand the basics.Originally posted by original PM View PostSo ok - Brexit is going ahead apparently on 31st October (spooky).

I believe that the previous incumbent came up with a plan, what's wrong with that?Originally posted by original PM View PostSo ok - Brexit is going ahead apparently on 31st October (spooky).

Take a look at the Withdrawal Agreement that the UK negotiated with the EU.Originally posted by original PM View PostSo ok - Brexit is going ahead apparently on 31st October (spooky).

And consider how unreasonable it would be if the EU, having negotiated the WA with the UK, then changed its mind. What would Brexiteers say to that?Comment

What paperwork?Originally posted by original PM View PostAs you go through the border area the cameras pick this up and as long as paperwork checks out all is okay.
Do you realise that the Mersey Gateway doesn’t require customs paperwork.
All this extra paperwork you want to impose - is that not really that difficult to suddenly introduce to businesses that haven’t needed before?
Locals? Do you mean all citizens of UK and Ireland, those in NI and ROI or just those who live close to the border?Originally posted by original PM View PostAs for the locals - well there is a way for them to register to cross the border with no charge
What standard trade rules? You said above it would be cameras picking you up and no spot checks, now you’ve changed it to “standard rules” (unnamed) and “spot checks”Originally posted by original PM View Postobviously any trade will be subject to the standard trade rules and if this needs to be enforced then spot checks like on any other border crossing will be in force.
It’s difficult enough that you can’t understand the problem or how your suggestions don’t work. But you’ve only had 3 years to come up with these. Maybe you need more time.Originally posted by original PM View PostSo you see not really that difficult is it.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment
