But Scottish voters decided to stick with the union, and therefore to accept the majority decision in the British parliament. There is no point going on about the USA.

We are now being taken out against our will - every single council area of Scotland voted to Remain in the EU with the total 62% which has now increased according to polls. Around 180,000 EU citizens voted No in 2014 due to the fear of being sent home (the Unionist argument back then said they would be). Those 180,000 will now vote Yes because the UK are asking them to register to stay here and that's enough to put us over 50%.

It also shows that if a no deal Brexit happens, the majority would vote for Independence.

If there is a second independence referendum, should there be a lock so that every local authority area has to vote yes, so that (for example) Orkney, Shetland and the Borders are not taken out of the UK against their will?

The argument was correct at the time of going to press. No one could have foreseen the EU referendum at the time of the Scottish Referendum. You should be thankful that the UK is now saving you the pain of leaving the EU due to you voting to leave the UK. We are all leaving. Showing our solidarity with Scotland supporting them all the way.

Nothing has changed if you vote to leave the UK in a 2nd ref then you will still be out of the EU.
