The Scots people are sovereign and we will decide if we want to be independent without the permission of the country next door. Asking for a Section 30 order is the first part of the legal process so we would be recognised as independent by other nations. If refused we can take it to court and we will win. Westminster had a vote in the HoC last year and it passed.
We can have a referendum but we could also use elections to determine the outcome, if a majority of Pro-Independence MPs and MSPs are returned then we can declare ourselves Independent.
"That this House endorses the principles of the Claim of Right for Scotland, agreed by the Scottish Constitutional Convention in 1989 and by the Scottish Parliament in 2012, and therefore acknowledges the sovereign right of the Scottish people to determine the form of government best suited to their needs.”
