The number of people signing the online petition suddenly rose overnight following Theresa May’s speech at Downing Street. Another 200,000 signatures were added in the eight hours after midnight.

note that the areas where intelligent people (the ones with great universites) live have far higher numbers.
Oxford, Cambridge, Ediburgh.

It will run out of steam well before it gets to that point. You only have to look at the signature distribution on the map to tell you that. The high concentrations of signatures will soon saturate severely limiting the maximum number.
